“Lige Daniels” — 8/8/1920: Teenager Lige Daniels was lynched. A picture of his hanging corpse, along with the mob that killed him, was made into postcards. One postcard read “This is were they lynched a negro the other day. They don’t know who done it. I guess they don’t care much. I don’t, do you?”
